Experts and self-appointed experts and doom-sayers are all giving us prognoses of the new normal, not the brave but the strange new world we will eventually face—with masks? Hockey arenas and soccer and football fields and baseball diamonds with players but no spectators will certainly lower the excitement/noise level of games and the consumption of hot dogs and beer. But games are possible and being played now and spectators will watch from afar. Personally, i love baseball and I actually prefer to watch a game on TV. I make my own noise. I won’t go into detail; I’ll wait and see what happens.

But what of theatre? Certainly no SRO, no line-ups for a hit show, no chatty intermissions.

I am losing my power (story of my life). I will finish this speculatlon tomorrow.
