I hate for my blog to be a diary but I must explain my absence (not of mind,but of presence). My son Matt (who else?) has to have a colonoscopy today and I had to have him for the night last night and administer the Peglyte preparatory to the procedure. More time.

The writer Alice Walker (The Color Purple, etc. etc.) said it was possible to have one child and still write; after that you’re a dead duck, or words to that effect. Danielle Steele of course, is an example who refutes that statement:

And seven children.

So why am I complaining? Not. Just telling you why I am not writing a blog today.
