—as I keep on demonstrating the futility off my “resolve”.
Yesterday was the first day of my programmed physiotherapy. I applied and received approval for Wheel-Trans, because I can’t afford two round-trip cab fares a week for nine weeks. I can’t go on the subway, so it will cost me time and wear on my body.
As proved to be the case yesterday. The therapy session, tiring and useful, took one hour, plus a little extra to get started. Getting home took two hours. Ten minutes late for my pick-up, finding my way) I was called a no-show. So it took two hours to re-book and wait to go home, after 5 p.m. I was tired and hungry.
Good news though.
I found a Druxy’s near my waiting lounge and went to find sustenance after no food since breakfast. My eyes were bigger than my wallet. I had two five-dollar bills, so I had to ask what I could afford. The man who made the sandwiches and the woman who took my money were very good to me, figured out what I could have and made it with TLC.
I had :a toasted sesame seed bagel with mayo, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers and cheese, it was hot and fresh and the sesame seeds were crunchy and delicious. And I didn’t make it, a treat for me. They gave me a napkin and a paper beg to to take it back to my waiting room and a cup of tap water that I drank there. PLUS a Kit-Kat bar that I had picked up and tried to put back and was waved away. i had one dollar left.
I enjoyed every morsel of my lunch/dinner.
