Back to the files. I spent last evening and all today reading clippings and articles and snippets and blog ideas. I have a waste basket full of discards but I am surrounded by items i have to file in new places, so it looks worse than before I began.
Lots of work. Words, too.
I swam in the afternoon. No sun on the pool today, but it was pleasant. I’m tired, but I’ll give you a fistful of blogs Il’ll never write but that you can think about.
Feel free to comment.
Found this on an index card, not mine:
“Figure it out.
Cut it out.
Read it out.
Turn it out.”
Is anyone old enough to remember the Salvage Rhyme (WWII)? I know bits of it. I’ll look it up…You can get a poster now or a T-shirt with the words: "Use it up... Wear it out... Make it do... Or do without."
I have thought of it a lot since Covid came to stay. I have been in almost total lockdown, so I never get to a store. I have my groceries delivered and I can’t handle online shopping. Just recently my older son began to help me with my banking problems. (I was hacked.). He has been cashing in the gift coupons I have been accumulating for years now over several birthdays and Christmases and special events. I have a new Orbus (Obus?) cushion for my back and new sheet trays for sheet-pan cooking. Fun.
I do go on and will—tomorrow.
