Too much!
I had plans…never materialized.
I had a good time, though, and I hope you did, too. I started catching up today. It’s going to take a while.
Oh, hey—Happy July Fourth.
I’mv very slow on the computer. I began to be slow because I took touch typing at a business college the summer before I started university. That’s not true. Actually, I’m so old that computers weren’t around then, just typewriters. and not so many of those, not private ones. During my first semester, I used to go to my father’s office on the weekend whenever I had an essay to write. i had to use my brief allowance of time well—not hard because of my speedy fingers. I learned to think on the typewriter. My parents gave me a portable typewriter for Christmas that year, a machine that saw me through thousands of words to my Master’s thesis (In English) six years later—and beyond. After my husband died I decided to make a living by writing, that is, by selling my writing, (What was I thinking???) I bought a second-hand IBM electric typewriter to increase my production. The portable was in very bad shape by that time.
I’m finally coming up to an explanation (or excuse) for my poor perforrmance on the computer but it has taken me all day to write this and I have go go to bed now.
To be continued….
