Today is Matt’s birthday. He was born 30 years after and two weeks before my birthday so I have no trouble remembering his. For the past two years we have celebrated lockdown birthdays, not as much fun but easier on me at my age. Yesterday I had Matt and his room-mate for dinner—early—with time to watch No Time to Die. His roommate said it was more fun than Pin the Tail on the Donkey. I’m sure it was. They both have terrible eye-hand coordination.
I still find it very hard to be so old yet still alive and unable to interact with my grand- and great-grand children. I do hope if and when we all emerge that we might have a meaningful meeting. I’m too old to change diapers. And I don’t bake cakes any more. I’ll think of something. I do hope they can teach me some competence in the techie/electronic world.
Anyway, it’s a nice day, one to be thankful for.
Did I mention he’s 61? Just so you know.
