I watch the Blue Jay games (One Nation, One Team), but I refuse to watch extra innings. If they can’t settle after nine, I’m not staying up. I check the next morning.
Last night I watched “You’ve Got Mail” on TV, easier than hauling out my old VHS copy—and yes, I still have a player with rewind, obsolete, impossible to buy a new one. It won’ t last long now, but then neither will I. I love Nora Ephron.
I should say, we watched, Matt and I, we watch a lot: the baseball; reruns of “Quantum Leap” (a late 90s time travel series); endless repeats of “Murder, She Wrote”. I love to see the old or young actors Angela Lansbury hired: June Allyson and Van Johnson were on once, and Peter Donat, and Len Cariou, with whom she had worked on “Sweeney Todd”, stayed on as a a continuing character in subsequent random episodes.
I play 24.7 Solitaire, too. I pulled up the Games on my computer to give Matt something to play with, and I, who never touched them, am hooked. Very time-consuming.
Everything is. I’m using up a lot of time with all this and naps, too.
I guess you could say I’m retired and I’m having a good time.
That’s not good.
