And I did something that is recommended regarding resoutions for the coming year. I did one incremental thing. I cleaned out my shawls and sweaters a la Kondo.

I own more shawls than sweaters because I am old and I have Reynaud’s Syndrome, but after I discarded the items that gave me no “spark of joy”, I had room for the shawls that I folded and plastic-bagged. This was one gesture of a new resolution and though it was tiring and took a long time, I felt good about it. Optimistic, in fact.
