I found a lovely Valentine quiz that I wrote eons ago. It just needs a little updating about J-Lo. I’ll try to remember to post it next February.

Most of these will be invalid now with Covid-19. We should be very grateful for “The Lonely Planet” and all the virtual experiences on offer. I wrote a piece somewhere (maybe my new book?) about why I am not a camera, that is, I don’t take pictures. I keep a journal and I take note of visual, audible and olfactory—sensory—occurrences the memory of which I retain; examples: a cheetah purring; giraffes in mourning; a long-tail bird coming in to land on a cliff face in a headwind; standing under a waterfall, waking up in a tent in Kenya, the quiet broken by the neighbouring baboons. But no cathedrals, no breath-taking stained glass or paintings (the Mona Lisa was smaller than I expected)—

—and there I got cut off by my strict battery. My fault. I had just ordered my groceries online- that takes time, patience and a long-lived battery.
