Years ago- everythig was years ago now. - I ,had a daily spot on the radio, brief pieces I wrote and recorded that were sent out to and broadcast by independent stations across the country ((including Australia). I guess they were my daily Twitters or blogs, really, 90 seconds of a thought for the day. Produced for the United Church, they were what I called Happy Homilies, brought to you by your Big Sponsor in the Sky. Nnety seconds is about 900 words, give or take. I developed a 900-word mind. It taught me good discipline, to get into an idea and out before the bell rang. I guess the skill will come in handy now. People have even shorter attention spans now than in my day. Over and out.
