now what?

It’s very difficult to live with an illiterate person, especially when one has a seven-day tension headache. Matt reads a little functionally (at a Grade X level, I was told), but not for pleasure. He is a whiz with movies. He remembers names of actors, titles of movies and blow-by-blow plots if you can bear to listen to them.

We are joined at the hip for who knows how long as Covid-19 makes us apartment mates. As the timeline seems to be stretching, I am curious about our food and planning (among other things). I think I may have to offer menus and recipes, if anyone is interested. That’s all I can manage today.

But we had a good dinner.

onward with Covid-19

My son Matt and I are in lock-down together, hoping that we survive. Well, I’m hoping. He’s just enjoying my classic old VHS movies while my machine and rewinder still work.

The death rate for persons over 80 is 15%. I am 89, as you know, so I’ve been thinking of my next book, that I should get a move on and launch into it while there’s still time but I have a headache and I’m tired. Another cliché: “My get-up-and-go has got up and went.”

But I will think about it today. I won’t wait until tomorrow.
