blog day

I promise. I have a lot to do today but there are tonnes of thoughts looming up in blogtime that I must pay attention to.

Oh, dear. I found a fie folder, about two inches thick, lalelled Blogs. I thought it was s list of blog ideas. Not. It’s a collection of mostly finished, written pieces by me. Some are finished blogs, others detail accounts of daily experiences that struck me as worth writing about. I read them all. Oh, dear.

It took me about an hour and a half, about the length of time it takes to write the first draft of a blog. That, of course , is the reason it’s taking me so long to go through the files. I’m not complaining. I enjoy reliving the experiences and I enjoy, most of the time, reading my own writing (with corrections) and editing).

But time moves on and I must, too. I’ll look for another folder and try to get back to you. It’s still hot. No heat warning, but hot. Matt is coming for a swim and dinner and I have to think of something to cook.

Later.

.

hot hot hot

But my feet are cold.

Another heat warning, but I had to walk to the Post Office because I had to send an important letter / package by Express Post.. I started the day with that goal in mind, never mind the heat wave.So I swam promptly and I didn´t overdo the exercise, didn´t want to get too tired before I began. I took two Tylenol, extra strength, I packed what I needed in the basket of my rollator (that´s what they call a walker), and I sat down to meditate for 10 minutes to gather my strength before I left on my safari..

And the phone rang. It was my masseuse . I had booked her for today, to recover from my efforts. She said wait. She would pick me up and drive me to the Post Office and then take me to her place to speed my recovery, and she did. And she drove me home after it because I bought a few groceries and she carried them. I mean, she is a saint.

So it was a good day and I sent my important letter that I’ve been working on all summer and this is the beginning of the rest of my life, however much time is left of it.

I am so grateful.

But my feet are still cold.
