June Mikkelsen, 1920-2022.

You can look her up. Chose name plus obituary, or add her city—Portland, Oregon. I did that, thiis mornng. I didn’t know that much about her; a lot of the details were new to me. It’s my convent training. I never ask personal questions. Mostly I just accept what people care to tell me about themselves.

I met June in May of 2015 when we embarked on a “Round the World in 180 Days” Cruise. I met her and her cabin mate at Happy Hour on the second day. Suddenly I have a lot to say and a need to say as little as possible. I am still drowning in ermotions and memories. I must be careful.
