it´s hot

I do not complain. I worry about all the people who are too hot, suffering from the heat, no respite. I am often too cold. I seldom tun on the AC and when I do, I get cold very quickly and turn it off. Not tonight. If I weren´t so tired, I would go swimming again, just to get cool.

Tomorrow. Maybe.

My mind is mush, but it´s a reasonable mush, not the hard-edged carelessness and the consequences I experienced when I was watching two movies a day and damn the torpedoes. I care now.

Relaxed?

Not cool, though.

we go on, we go on

—and gradually it got better.—bearable.. Matt came for lunch and a swim and my afternoon nap. We were just opening the gate to the outdoor pool (the indoor one is closed for warranty repairs) when we saw the surface of the water pock marked with rain and heard the first rumbling of thunder. I don’t mind getting wet when I swim but I avoid lightning. We returned to my apartment to view the downpour.

Game over.

Not so.

We swam an hour later.

It was lovely.

I was late for the rest of the day but I felt better., not fine, but better. I never stop hurting but it’s…bearable. We made a delicious chicken-mushroom fried rice. Matt chops the vegetables beautifully. I had no time to clear up because John arrived to perform his weekly magical (to me) act of straightening out my computer finances (bank, Visa, payments, donations etc.) and to teach me how not to fall for scams.

So I‘ll load the dishwasher this morning.

We go on.
