heat!

At last, t’s warm.

You will not hear me complaining about the heat. I do not like air conditioning. I like to be hot and moist, not cold and clammy. My first major decision of the day is to swim, the second, related one, is to swim in the outdoor pool, and following that—no choice—to be the first one for the day to use the shower. That means standing there, wet and shivering, waiting for the water to warm up. I do like swimming, though, and I need it to be able to move during the day, albeit with difficulty.

There!

I will go and swim now.

And that was the end of that. Well, not really. I swam again, with Matt, in the afternoon, nice to cool off on a hot day Just a couple of lengths but more exercises. Perhaps I will swim outside tonight after dark, if I’m not too tired. It’s still hot.

Stay cool

So I baked today.

As you know I can’t get out (no legs, no car). and I’m hopeless at online. keep getting messed up because I’m technologically challenged. So when I want to give a present, a a wee gift, I give something I made, usually some baking. I make Amish bread, from a starter, sort of like sourdough, in that it keeps regenerating. There’s always someone who needs some, so I keep on baking, every ten days from starter to finish. The starter keeps in the freezer when I need a rest. I baked today, may have to start again tomorrow. My starter comes from a dear friend, wife of a couple who used to live in the building but who moved to Ottawa.

I miss you guys.

About my fingers:I don’t lick them these days. (Covid, you know.)
