lost it

I missed yesterday, too busy with my newsletter, not finished yet. I’m waiting for one article, promised to arrive yesterday, and I’m waiting for a contact to get some information I need. I fiddled a lot with the—dare I call it layout? Time-consuming and tiring, not very good, though. So I cooked. I’m having a friend for dinner tonight.

And I contacted my family, mostly by phone. It’s not effective to email because they’re very busy and they know I’m okay. I like to hear a voice, especially to tide me over the weekend. Yesterday I had to ask an almost-daily swimmer, when she came in, what day it was, Friday or Saturday? She told me Friday.. So today is Saturday, in case you’d like to know—or need to.

Does every day feel like .Sunday to you?

no excuses?

I’ve told you before, I’m the “editor “ of the INLNA (Icelandic National League of North America) newsletter. It’s a lot to do (less if I were better with computer technology) because editor is too formal a word for most of the work and inadequate for the effort I exert as I to try to cope with the techie demands. I spend three to eight days before pub date, not. counting time spent on researching and gathering the news. Fortunately, the letter comes out only four times a year.

I’m only telling you all this because my latest news duties cut into my current blog time. I apologize. I’ll try to summarize what I was thinking—or trying to think—before i got caught up in my newspaper work. It’s not earth-shaking but it’s time-consuming.

But not now.

Anon.
