today is the day, for sure

Tax Day.

Blog Day.

Big Day!

I’ll be back….

And it’s later than I would like. I always do more than I planned and I don’t finish what I planned.

But here’s a nice word I came across today, I’ve seen it before but I didn’t remember what it means. Here:

gri·ot| ɡrēˌō, ˌɡrēō | noun , a member of a class of traveling poets, musicians, and storytellers who maintain a tradition of oral history in parts of West Africa. ORIGIN French, earlier guiriot, perhaps from Portuguese criado.

Nice one.

I didn’t gather tax papers this afternoon. I started catching up with a couple of months of Sunday New York Times. It’s lot of reading. I tried to be stern (no crosswords), but there were some articles I had to read— thought I had to read, but I’m being ridiculous. I’m saving stuff while files and folders and boxes wait for me to cull them and throw out the kind of thing I am saving today!

I must stop while I still can.

whether it flies or drags it goes on

I mean Time, but I do too. Today is the beginning of my tax-related papers-gathering. It’s also the last day for my PACT tweaks. All very time-consuming. I’ll try to get back to you. After all, it’s about Time.

Time is flying and dragging and going on and on. So am I….

So it’s almost dinner time. I finished the rewrite and I delivered it to one person who lives in my building. I’ve been trying to email a copy to the other person and it wasn’t getting there, Finally, one letter got through but she can’t read the files because she needs a different program.

I am TIRED! And I I’m not finished andI haven’t touched the TAX TORTURE papers.

The good news is I don’t feel like eating. Or cooking. But I’m okay—I have two boxes of Oatmeal Crisp. No ice cream, though.
