today is the day

My Starter is ready and I have to make Amish loaves today—dedicated to Marlene, Thank you, dear.

My prime task today is a new draft of that introduction (preface) I’ve been trying to write. My friend and mentor offered to read it for me and he told me what I suspected—and you know—i’m too down. I am not cheerful; I am not optimistic; I am not entertaining. I am not amusing.

Well, he is right. I am not amused And it shows.

So today I will look on the sunny side of the street (under the snow). You can help. Tell me a joke. Tell me a happy story. Send me a smile. Please!

I’ll write again….

Not there yet. I’ve been watching “hilarious” moments captured on late night talk shows, I realize, to cheer me up, jar me loose so I can get lighter.

Something else will help. I took delivery today of two new books I ordered from Indigo:

How Iceland Changed the World; The Big History of a Small Island, by Egill Bjarnason. Penguin, 2021

How to Live Iceland, by Nina Björk Jónsdóttir and Edda Magnus. White Lion Publishing, 2021

Wonderful! We go on, we go on….

not yet

Soon though. I’m still doing research to fill in the blanks.. Jan. 18.

See, that was supposed to be yesterday. Well, I’ve got some stuff for you, but I have to make muffins first, as soon as I put the groceries away and catch my breath….

See, there’s always something….

And time passes….
