happy july first

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

Fifty years ago today we were walking around Upper Canada Village on our way to ExPo 67 in Montreal. Such a Canadian thing to do, as I was aware at the time.  We were:  my husband, Bill, and our children, Liz, Kate, John and Matt. And what a lovely place. to be!  [I have written somewhere a comparison of Upper Canada Village, Williamsburg and Main Street, USA (DisneyWorld)].

I never gave a thought to where I or any of us would be fifty years hence.  Just as well.  Who could possibly predict that in another five years we would all be in Stratford and my husband dead?  I am also not giving a thought to where I will be in fifty years.  I'm here now.

Bless us all.

on the brink

Brinks can be very high, also very slow. I'm on the brink of finishing - sort of finishing - my screenplay that i have been poking at for six months now. It's the poking that has turned out to be a problem.  I have so many bits and pieces,  additions and separate areas of consideration  that I am having trouble collating them and pitting them in order and getting some fair copy out of this mess.  'working back and forth between two computers doesn't help, either.   Why do I do this?

What else would I do?

Right now I can think of several things.

Blogs cross my mind but I can't focus, not right now.

And the Blue Jays are playing the Orioles.

I'll think about it tomorrow.
